Summary of Lesson Plan:
In this lesson the learners will view a PowerPoint presentation about sketches. They will then make observational drawings (sketches) of a variety of mechanical objects (from the kitchen). Students will record accurately and quickly as possible the particular object in two to three minutes. Students will concentrate on the shape, line, details and the relationship between the various parts. Students will review perimeter by adding a frame around their drawings. In the extension activity students will make observational sketches of machines that are in operation.
